Weight Watchers Wednesday – Week 1
So, “Weight Watchers Wednesday” will be an ongoing account of my personal weight goals. Every wednesday I do a weight check to see if I’ve gained or lost over the past week. I’ll try to be as honest with you all, and myself, as possible. I’m hoping that by making this public and honest affirmation, I’ll be encouraged to only report “good” results, and not “poor” ones.
I’m doing the weight watchers program, and I think its the best option for me. Weight watchers stresses portion control; as opposed to restricting what you can eat, its a matter of how much you eat. So you can still eat that cheeseburger, but maybe just half instead of the whole thing (or run the risk of that being the only thing you eat in a day). But if weight watchers isn’t for you, I’m sure I can help you find a program that is.
Feel free to join me if you need to…….no time like the present! Add your comments on your weight loss/gain. Maybe some tips for me and other readers, a nice encouraging story. Maybe you need some support or motivation, and we can help encourage YOU!
I started on December 27, 2006.
Today’s date is January 3, 2007. I lost 5 lbs this week.
Running Total: 5 lbs Lost

I’m down. WW is how I kick started my weight loss in 05. Are you registered on the website or going to any meetings? Or are you a renegade w/stolen books to count points? LOL.
Hehe, I’m a renegade. But I didn’t steal my books! I bought ‘em the first *couple* times I half tried WW. So, no, I’m not doing meetings, not registered on the website. But, I have done all of that stuff before, so I’m familiar with the program. For others who are not familiar with the program, I’d recommend you do it all the way by registering and attending meetings. Then once you get used to it, SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I’m with you on the weight loss B…go figure we both set goals. My goal: 10 lbs a month until I feel like I should stop
I can’t do diet plans though, I just have to slowly change my lifestyle, because the more I think about food, the more I want to eat. Being on a diet makes me want to eat more cuz I’m constantly thinking about the next meal and what I’m going eat.
I will have to say that I am NOT a WW fan. Could have something to do with my mom dropping me and my friend off at meetings when I was in the 7th grade. I hated those damn meetings, sitting around with other fat people talking about why we were fat. Not exactly how most 13 year olds want to spend their Wednesday nights.
I recommend reading “YOU on a Diet” and “The Overfed Head”. Has some good information & advice about food & diets.
Thank you for the recommended reading! Good Luck on the weight loss! Be sure to keep me posted.

Girl I commend you for this. I need to lose like 30 lbs myself. I’m up to a whopping.. well let’s just say I ate one too many treats between Halloween and Christmas!!
I just got back from the gym. I have a trainer now, he had me on the one of those exercise balls throwing 5-lb weights and doing sit ups. I dont feel anything now but I am sure I’m going to feel it in the morning.
Make sure you also do some cardio like 30 min for 4 days a week of walking will do wonders. Good luck and if you need some encouragement, definitely email or give me a call. Love you
