They say love is blind. I say it’s also a common excuse for foolishness. (see my earlier post) People do all kinda dumb things in the name of love.

“…so many people use your name in vain.”

Por ejemplo…Speidi. (Spencer and Heidi on MTV’s “The Hills”) Spencer is a master manipulator, and he’s got Heidi wrapped around his finger. He’s convinced her to do all kinda ill shit that suits him, hurts her and her family, all the while making it seem like its her idea. Yet somehow, she’s completely blind to his evil ways (he’s driven away her best friend, her sister, her mother, made her lose her job), and its all because of “love”.

 
I wonder if you have to be (willing to be) that blind to be in love. (if that made sense)

 
If so……hmph.

 
Lord, I pray that I’m never so blind that I start sacrificing my family and my livelihood to maintain a voluntary relationship that does not replenish what it takes.

I don’t think that’ll be an issue for me. The times that I’ve tried to turn a blind eye to things, the Lord has continually put those things back in my face so they couldn’t possibly be ignored (to my chagrin). Thanks (?), lol. Naw, Thank You Jesus. For real.

 
Anyways, it got me thinking about the things we’d be willing to do for love.

Additionally……the things we expect others to do for love.

 
I think the latter thought is the one that generally needs more focus, yet it receives the least attention.
