7 AM
Went to a friends b-day party this past Saturday, and stayed out till the wee hours of the morning. I haven’t done that in QUITE some time.
How bout, some guy walked in on me using the bathroom. Yeah, I guess he didn’t hear me screaming, “Somebody’s in here……SOMEBODY’S IN HERE!!!” Stupid, broken lock.
Later on, I found myself in a room full of beautiful, smart, capable, lovable, single women. WHERE ARE THE MEN? The only sociable male at the party, was there with his girlfriend. WTF?
Damn.
He was quite accommodating, filling and refilling drinks. Pickin’ up empty cups, bringing slices of cake. He was a DREAM! He almost got a play made his way, ’til I was alerted that his GF was present (well, existed, even). Doh!
Eh, there was nothing left to do but drink the dranks, and *puff-puff* *pass*.
Thank God for friends who can drive your car home!!
While I was at the party, I had a not-so startling revelation……just one I hadn’t thought about in awhile.
I’m uncomfortable around children.
No, not the little, unmoving, nonspeaking kinds.
Its the ones that move RAPIDLY and speak INCESSANTLY that make me cringe.
I thought I was doing good until my friend came up to me and asked, “Hey B, you alright? You a lil freaked out by the kids?”
Eeeks, I WAS! How’d she know? I guess it was written all over my face and in my “please keep ‘em away from me” body language.
Bless their lil hearts, but they were distracting. And WHY was their father tryna sell ‘em to me with a flat screen TV on the side? I guess that’s supposed to sweeten the deal? No thanks, sir. I’m quite capable of creating my own lil headaches.

Girl, I was gonna play it off at first, and then was like…”Actually, I am a lil freaked out by the kids. But thanks for checking up on me.” LOL

lol
that is sooo funny
nothing wrong with that–I mean freaked out by the kids
I’m just wondering why they were present at what seemed like a grown up party.

@GC, yeah I was a quite surprised by their presence as well. I thought it was a grown-up party too, but I guess it turned into a family thing.
Them kids didn’t leave too soon tho! LOL
