Nana-isms
I love my Nana. She is the funniest lady on the planet.
Upon seeing this lovely site……
…the following ensued:
“B., do you need a comb?”
“No thank you Nana, I brought a comb with me.
“I meant a hot comb.”
”
“
That woman’s got jokes! But she was so serious.
Let the record show…I’m no longer opPRESSed by the hot comb. I was on my way to the bathroom to handle it sans heat, when Nana stopped me. Hmmm, I probably should’ve taken an after picture in my defense. Hindsight dammit, hindsight!

Rece is NOT tryna kick it. I’ve been there (NYC) 3 times in a span of 7 mos and still a no see. *sad*
As for Nana…bwahahahahahahaha….
My stepdad lowkey got his rib in since this week I actually went back to the opPRESSed style after about 6 mos of being natural.
I believe he said, “wow, now you look like Drea.” Well, damn, who did I look like before? LOL. Even Dad was tryna tell me what he preferred.
And the fools have started trippin all over themselves about the fresh press. Not enough to act right, but you feel me. LOL. It’s hard to not gravitate toward the heat and straightening when that’s the reaction you get versus the “oh, that’s cute”, if you get one at all. I’ve found mostly women to be enamored with my natural looks. Guys usually don’t comment at all. The past few days though??? Mercy.
Now I personally like the look and feel of my hair straightened, but I have found that I like it styled many different ways (thus my chameleon style), so I’m happy as long as SOMETHING is done to it. LOL.
