…I talked to B.

Didn’t happen the way I wanted it to, but it happened.

And I got the answers and the information I needed.

 

Basically:

I wanted more (time/energy/hugs), and he’s not able to do that. He’s focused on work, and doesn’t have more to give.

Sounds like something I would’ve said a couple years ago.

He doesn’t want to promise something he can’t do, because he doesn’t want to hurt me.

“You know, I’m not that kinda nigga, B.”

Can’t say I was surprised. That’s actually what I expected him to say. But I guess…knowing that I (finally) made myself clear about what I wanted, and getting his honest response, has settled the situation for me.

At least he didn’t BS me like J did.

 

Realistically:

I guess this is where we become “just friends” officially. Forever. And while I do need friends out here in the Big Apple……I don’t need a friendship that will torment me because I’m still attracted to the person.

Why even tease myself like that?

 
He wants to get together tomorrow– –

 
– –well actually, we were supposed to get together tomorrow so that we could have “the talk” in person, but in short…that didn’t happen, and we ended up talking on the phone last night.

 
So, he STILL wants to get together tomorrow to……I don’t know……look at the person who just told him she missed him and wanted to spend more time together, and whom he told that he just didn’t have the time?

 
I’m SOOOO not signing up for that.

 
I don’t want to be an asshole about it. I mean, I’m sure he just wants to flush out the conversation in person (as I had intended originally). But hell, I’ve already said what I had to say. What else is there?

Maybe he’s just being charitable and giving me some face time since I’m so “in need”.

 

“That’s what you asked for B, isn’t it? More time with the kid?”

 

I don’t care, I’m not going.
