Weight Watchers Wednesday - Week 3

Welp, no big spiel today. I already said yesterday that this week was a(nother) wash. I was just prayin that it wasn’t too damaging.

Results–

This week I lost: 0 lbs
Recent running total: 3 lbs lost
From my highest weight I’ve lost: 44 lbs

Yup, stayed the same. Thank you Jesus! I’ll take it, considering how this week went.

But on a lighter note (no pun intended)……

As I was dancing in front of the mirror this morning, in my boy shorts, listening to Danity Kane’s song “2 of You“, I couldn’t help but admire my glorious figure. Sure there’s an extra roll here, a lil pudge there, and that damn stretch mark that’s still lingering (ok maybe there’s more than one), but I was STILL smokin in them boy shorts!

With that bit of booty peeking out at the bottom……

……LOL, maybe you didn’t wanna know all that, but forget yall! I’m sexy. If I’d put my heels on, it really woulda been over. I’m ALLLL legs, baby. I’d upload a picture, but ummm, I’m tryna keep this site PG-17.

Yeah today’s still a good day. (oooo-oh-oooo)

Weight Watchers Wednesday - Week 2

A note about drinking water:

Sometimes you have to force it.

I’m serious. Sometimes I just look at my water bottle, grab it, and chug. Just guzzle down about half of it to get that part out the way. Doesn’t take long, and now I’ve already consumed half of my necessary water intake.

And sometimes you gotta drink for no reason. Doesn’t matter if you’re not thirsty…or if you’re full. Just drink. Chug if you have to!

I’m sure everyone knows about Crystal Light’s genius invention: Crystal Light “On The Go”. I also use those when I’m feenin’ for something tasty, but don’t want to eat more points.

A sad, but helpful trick:

Think about that guy/gal who done you wrong and is gonna be sorry when they see you flossin’ in the new body. Yeah yeah yeah, I know we’re all losing weight for ourselves. But whatever resources you can use to get there, I say use ‘em! I also think about the fact that everyone thinks I’m older than my years, and I only seem to attract 40+ year old men or heavy set men. I’m ready to start catching from FRESH meat, dammit.

And I’m ready for all my clothes to look great on me, no matter what. Potato sack, table cloth, ironing board cover, curtains! They’ll all look fabulous on me. Shopping will be so much easier……actually, for an indecisive wreck like me, opening up the clothing options will probably make things worse. Eh well, I’m up for the challenge!

Sonofabitch!!

I’d love to say “I don’t know what happened”, but I’m well aware that I went over my points more than once during the last week. I tried to ignore it, but the scale sure didn’t.

DAMN, Damn, damn.

Lesson learned.

No bullshittin this week.

Weight Watchers Wednesday - Week 1

I’ve been inspired by my best friend Andrea to bring back Weight Watchers Wednesdays. Posting about my weight loss process REALLY helped me be successful the first time around, and since I’ve been at a standstill all year, it seemed logical to retrace my steps.

Thank You Girl!

You know how I know I’m back on Weight Watchers?

Cuz I’m hungry.

And worse than that, I’ve learned to accept it.

I guess thats good, and part of the point. I’m able to manage my hunger and work through it. But dammit……its still uncomfortable.

I’m thinking of using a supplement. I’ve heard good things about Hydroxycut Hardcore; that it helps to suppress your appetite, speed up your metabolism, and increase your energy to workout. Of course there are side effects……as it’s pretty powerful……AND a lil pricey……and I don’t workout, so……

I also heard good things about Leptovox. In addition to weight loss, it helps with skin care and anti-aging. And its not quite as pricey.

I just may go with the latter.

Big changes for me this week:

  1. Bringing my lunch to work, and only eating what I bring (which usually includes a PB & J sandwich and some fruit).

  2. Back to drinkin’ my 64oz of water (and peeing every 10 min). As painful as it is……it REALLY helps flush out the pounds (I keep this in mind as motivation to drink the tasteless crap).

  3. By limiting what I eat during the day, that gives me a plethora of points to use in the evening, which is where I happen to do most of my eating. I know you’re supposed to eat more during the day, and less at night…but I just don’t work that way, so I gotta save my points for later.

But what happens is……by the time I get home, I’m hungry, but not ravenous because after awhile the hunger subsides a bit. And then when I go to eat, I can’t eat as much as I’d want to, because my stomach has shrunk from the hunger.

Yup, a minor trick of the trade.

  4. Salt Water Flush. Thats 2 teaspoons of sea salt and 32oz of water first thing in the morning before you eat. Allow about 2 hrs for the “flushing” to commence (in other words, stay close to a bathroom, or you’ll be sorry). I also drink a laxative tea the night before to help “move” things along.

I think I’ll do this about once a week as a cleanse.

  5. Ignoring the hunger pangs, or just drinking something instead (ideally water, but maybe a diet ice tea or Fresca).

  6. Still not on a regular “workout” regimen, but I’m walking around the neighborhood more often since its SO nice outside. Hey, its a start.

Key Food Finds:

  • Morning Star Farms Veggie Burgers. Specifically, the Asian Veggie Patties and the Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers. 2 points of deliciousness! I can’t wait to try the other flavors.

My co-workers had raved about Dr. Praeger’s veggie burgers, so I also bought a box of those. They weren’t as bad as Boca burgers (as you can actually SEE the veggies in the burger), but they still weren’t that tasty. Not recommended.

And yes, I’m still a vegetarian.

  • Dannon Light & Fit Yogurt. 1 point for the whole thing. A regular appearance at breakfast.
